Paramount Skydance Set to Remove Nearly 2,000 United States Roles – Update
Skydance Paramount will begin large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, removing about 2,000 US jobs under a expense reduction strategy worth $2bn under top executive David Ellison.
The layoffs follow the union between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, completed during August with a value of $8.4bn.
Further international job cuts are anticipated, with Paramount Skydance aiming to announce full details in its Q3 financial results on 10 November.
Earlier reports suggested the firm planned to eliminate between 2,000 and 3,000 positions by the beginning of next month.
By December 2024, the organization retained nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 contract workers.
The organization has not provided a response on the matter.
