Josh Hazlewood given the all-clear of injury but Sean Abbott ruled out of Test
Josh Hazlewood has taken 295 wickets at an average of 24.21 runs per wicket during his 76-Test career
Hazlewood received clearance to join the Australian team for the initial Test against England following fitness concerns, however, teammate Abbott will miss the match
Both suffered hamstring injuries playing for NSW in the Victoria clash in domestic cricket recently
Scans showed Hazlewood (34) escaped muscle damage. The 33-year-old Abbott, yet to debut, sustained a significant hamstring issue
Skipper Pat Cummins will miss the initial match, starting November 21, so the loss of a key pace option in Hazlewood would have been a major blow
Abbott would have been unlikely to play at the Perth match, with Hazlewood set to join fellow quicks Starc and Boland as the specialist seamers
Cummins, who is recovering from back issues, is expected to be likely to comeback during the next Test commencing December fourth
Batsman Steve Smith takes over leadership in Cummins' absence
Similar to most Aussie squad members, the bowler took part in the current round of domestic cricket in preparation for the historic rivalry
Before this week, he hadn't featured a first-class match for New South Wales since last season
He felt tightness in his leg muscle towards the end of Victoria's second innings recently exiting the play as a precaution
The two bowlers came out to bat during their team's second batting effort in a losing cause by three hundred runs
"There's seven days before the international cricket - always err on being cautious," stated the captain
"They needed to determine the exact situation prior to testing it and potentially making anything worse"
"Uncommon to see him cheerful, therefore it was positive to witness his smile"
"He knows his body extremely well. It seemed he felt a little bit worried (and) wanted to get medical assessment"
The bowler collected 57 appearances for Australia in white-ball cricket
The uncapped Doggett is the other seamer within the team, providing cover for Starc, Boland and Hazlewood
