Football Star Welsh Athlete Ramsey Increases Bounty for Lost Dog in Mexico to $Twenty Thousand Dollars
Welsh athlete Aaron Ramsey has increased the reward for details concerning the missing dog named Halo to $$20k.
The former Arsenal and Cardiff player, who now is with the Mexican club Pumas in Mexico City, revealed that the beagle was last seen in San Miguel de Allende, located in the Guanajuato state zone.
The beagle, who vanished on 9 October, was equipped with a GPS collar, and the footballer posted a Google maps location of the spot she vanished from.
"Any updates about our pet Halo please contact us. Substantial bounty for locating her. We are all praying she is unharmed and will return to our family soon," Ramsey posted on Instagram.
Initial Offer and Heartfelt Pleas
Ramsey initially disclosed that his dog had gone missing a fortnight back and has subsequently uploaded multiple photos of the cherished dog on Instagram.
A £7,500 reward was first announced, but with absence of information on the dog's location after a week, the player and his family raised the sum.
"Our only wish is our girl back," he expressed in another request on social media after the decade-old dog went missing.
A recent picture post is a grayscale image of the beagle snoozing, her head lying in the curve of the athlete's arm, with the message: "What I wouldn't give to hold you again Halo."
Family's Concerns and Context
The footballer has additionally posted a message from his spouse Colleen on social media saying they have a few "important questions" about the disappearance and fear the family "could possibly not receive clarity".
"To this day we have not located our dog. I don't think we will," his wife's post read.
The Welsh skipper signed with Mexico's top-flight club Club Universidad Nacional in recent months and made his debut in Liga MX in the eighth month.
Born in Caerphilly footballer is the first well-known British athlete to compete in the Mexico's top division.
