Aircraft Spins Wildly into Palm Groves at Frequented Southern California Shoreline
A chopper hovering over a crowded California coastline abruptly began spiraling uncontrollably, finally descending rapidly and plunging into a row of palm fronds as onlookers observed.
Videos uploaded on the internet depict the chopper commencing to spiral over Huntington Beach then descending near the edge of the shore, where it ends up lodged between palms and a steps close to the shoreline route.
First Aid Update
The Huntington Beach fire department reported five persons were rushed to the hospital involving a pair who were in the chopper and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the crash on that day.
Three persons on the street were hurt. Details on their condition were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
